Curriculum planning

     The Department of Chemistry at Fu Jen Catholic University was established in 1964 and has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence. With over 500 students and a faculty comprising experienced and dedicated professors, the department is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering innovative research.

     The department offers a comprehensive curriculum that balances fundamental chemistry knowledge with practical applications. It encompasses four major fields: analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry, while also integrating interdisciplinary studies in materials science, environmental chemistry, and biochemistry.

     Our new state-of-the-art laboratory building for undergraduate students is designed to enhance hands-on learning and experimental skills, preparing students for careers in academia, industry, and research. The department also boasts a strong focus on cultivating students’ creativity and problem-solving abilities, with research programs supported by National Science Council (NSC) grants and other external funding.

     In addition to academic programs, the department emphasizes international collaboration and industry-academia partnerships. Faculty and students actively engage in exchange programs, joint research projects, and seminars with leading universities and organizations worldwide.
